The 2007 Educational Security Congress will be held in New Orleans
on December 3rd/4th. This gathering will be a groundbreaking event
on educational security. It will unite over 40 world-renowned
speakers and 1500 attendees who will have the opportunity to discuss
the pressing issues facing all those who protect, care for, and
educate the youth of today.
Representatives from various
law enforcement agencies will be involved along with teachers,
students and government agents. Experts in psychological
behavior will explain how to identify potential risks
before they become tragedies, while insight into new technologies
that can help in the event that a crisis does occur will
also be provided.
The aim of this event is
to evoke change by seeking to uncover an effective means
for the academic and law enforcement worlds to work together
to make schools a safe place to learn. As communication
will be key in our ability to reach our goal, an on line
forum will be added to the website following the event
for people to ask questions and give advice.
Furthermore, the program
will continue to thrive well into the future, as a percentage
of the events revenue will be donated to the RAND Corporation
to fund a 2-year study into how to improve the safety
of our schools. The results of this study will then be
made available so that its findings can be used to guide
new policy and procedure.
In our mandate to reach
as many people as possible, web casting technology will
be used to disseminate the congress to a global audience
for a period of 12 months.
The First 500 people to register
before October 19th 2007 will receive the early bird registration
fee of $495, which includes 12 months access to the web cast.
Once the pre-registration period is over the cost will be $695.
